Confidence Inspiring Quotes
Confidence isn’t walking into a room and thinking you are better than everyone else. It is walking in and not needing to compare yourself to anyone
I don’t know the origin of this quote, but it is a simple message and lesson to learn. If you are building confidence, it can be a worrisome thing of what other people will think of you, especially if you are moving out of your comfort zone and trying something new. You’ll know confidence when you no longer feel the need to worry what others think of you.
If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. African Proverb

Oh gosh – how bad is your inner dialogue? Mine can be really mean and so harsh to myself. But it is something I am working on as I build my confidence. More love, less criticism. I want to be a better friend to myself because I would never talk to a friend the way I sometimes talk to myself.
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. Wayne Gretzky
While this quote originated as a sporting analogy, it applies perfectly to so much in life. When we don’t give things a go, how will we ever know and realise our true potential? Confidence comes from action. We need to take shots, give things a try, and we can learn and grow.
Fall down seven times, stand up eight. Japanese proverb
It doesn’t matter that we fall. What matters most is that we bounce back, give it another go and try again. This is the only way we will build our confidence, by trying, doing, striving.

My mum gave me this book on my 18th birthday, the same day I moved out of home. At first, I thought it was odd that she gave me a children’s book even though I was now officially an adult. But as I read it, I felt uplifted. I could feel my potential stir within. It was time to step forward into my future and I had the ability to control where I went. This is a book I need to read more often – to remind myself of my ability and the opportunities that are out there – waiting for me to discover.

Our life is a wonderful gift. It is an opportunity to shine – to learn and grow. If confidence is holding you back from living the lift of your dreams, then it is time to decide and act – choose to prioritise experiences in your life, over self-doubt and hesitation. Let’s fill our life with memories our 80-year old self would be proud of.
